Feedback Session: new PA licensure track @ NAM Office

The Nashville Academy of Medicine’s Board of Directors requests your participation at a presentation to the membership about Lincoln Memorial University’s Doctor of Medical Science degree program for physician assistants by Sen. Richard Briggs, MD and John Lacey, III, MD. This will take place on Tuesday, June 27 at 6:30 p.m. at the NAM Office (3301 West End Ave, Nashville, TN 37203). Dinner will be provided.

NAM’s board has concerns about this legislation and needs your feedback before they can accurately represent you in state-wide conversations with the TMA about this legislation.

Want more information about Brent Moody, MD?
Brent Moody, MD, FACP, FAAD, has extensive experience with organized medicine at the local, state, and national levels. He has served the local dermatology community as Chairman of the Tennessee Dermatology Society and treasurer of the Nashville Dermatology Society.  Dr. Moody is also an active member of the Nashville Academy of Medicine and the Tennessee Medical Association, which has included service on the IMPACT Board of Directors both as chair and as a director. On the national level, he has served as the Chairman of the Public Policy Committee of the American College of Mohs Surgery. He is currently running for the Tennessee House of Representatives 56th District seat.


Dr. Moody completed his medical degree at Emory University School of Medicine.  He completed a residency program in both internal medicine and dermatology at the Washington University School of Medicine Barnes-Jewish Hospital where he served as Chief Resident.  He completed a fellowship in Mohs Micrographic and Dermatologic Surgery with Dr. George Hruza at the Laser and Dermatologic Surgery Center in St. Louis, Missouri.  In addition, Dr. Moody is board certified in dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology and has been practicing in Nashville since 2003, specializing in dermatologic surgery.  Dr. Moody obtained a bachelor’s degree in accounting from William and Mary.  In addition to his practice, he also has consulted on medical coding and reimbursement and was an assistant professor.

Daniel grew up in Middle Tennessee and earned a BSBA in Finance from the University of Tennessee at Martin. He lives in Nashville with his wife Liz, a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with her Masters and Doctorate from Vanderbilt University. His community involvement includes volunteering with various non- profits and his local church. Away from the office, he loves to exercise and travel with his family.
