Each fall, the Center for Nonprofit Management honors Middle Tennessee nonprofits with the Salute to Excellence awards ceremony – the largest nonprofit awards event in the country.
The Medical Foundation of Nashville has been named as one of the finalists for the Healing Trust Compassionate Care Award at this year’s program! This award honors organizations who show excellence in compassion for the populations they serve and for their own staff members. NAM and the foundation are very thankful for this honor.

Are you interested in health policy, but don’t know where to start? Do you want to learn more about health-related bills currently working through the state legislator?
The Meharry Medical College Center for Health Policy, MMC Preventive Medicine Residency Program, and the Nashville Academy of Medicine present Pizza and Politics on Wednesday, February 27 from 12:00-1:30 p.m. to discuss the intersection of health policy and the practice of medicine. Pizza and Politics includes a presentation by TMA Government Affairs, highlighting pending health legislation, followed by a panel discussion with local legislators.

TMA’s annual policy briefing and lobby day in Nashville connects physicians directly with lawmakers so they can advocate for their patients and discuss major issues affecting the medical profession in Tennessee.
