Physicians' Voice in Troubled Times: the Role of TMA
Join TMA members from across the state for a virtual town hall meeting with TMA President Kevin Smith, MD. The conversation will focus on the future of TMA and how it can serve you as the leading voice for physicians in Tennessee.
We will discuss new ways to voice your concerns and opinions with TMA as well as other issues including advocacy, representation, and member engagement. We want to hear what is important to you as we work to increase our collective voice to improve patient care in Tennessee.

Dr. Kevin Smith was installed as TMA President at July’s TMA House of Delegates. Dr. Smith is a primary care physician, currently practicing at Vanderbilt Adult Primary Care and teaching general internal medicine. He received his medical degree and Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and has been in practice for more than 25 years. He is Associate Medical Director for the Center for Health Information Management at Vanderbilt and an Assistant Professor with the Division of General Internal Medicine and Public Health. He has served his local TMA medical society, the Nashville Academy of Medicine, as both Secretary-Treasurer and 2018 President. He also serves as the Secretary-Treasurer for the Tennessee Chapter of the American College of Physicians.
