Why are you proud to be a physician?
I love the ability to make an immediate impact on someone’s life through surgery. It is rewarding to guide patients through what is often a difficult time in their lives, reassuring them that there is light at the end of the tunnel. It is such a privilege to share patients’ joy once they have reached the other side of that tunnel.

Why are you proud to be a member of NAM & TMA?
NAM and TMA are organizations that are committed to advocacy for physicians and for our patients. I am proud to be a member because these are effective organizations. They get the job done! I am honored to serve in leadership for both organizations as well as NAM’s Foundation, the Medical Foundation of Nashville, which serves our community through Project Access Nashville. What also makes me proud is that these are physician-led and driven organizations.
